There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,4.0.html

so you have to chose a password and basically the password is your account. So choose a strong and unique one!

to start the client type in:
cmd
cd C:\Users\YOURNAME\Desktop (place where your nextfolder is located)\nxt
java -jar start.jar (first you have to create a start.bat)

that's it!
