If you want them quickly and you are not verified on any of the exchanges then local bitcoins is you best shot.

Depends on where you live. Maybe there is an exchange in your country so that you could transfer the money in a day in their bank account and get your Bitcoins right away. I could do that so maybe you too.

Thanks for the suggestions. I live in the US just thought grabbing a few coin would be relatively quick and easy. Guess Ill try local didn't have much luck last time. Does anyone know how long I'll be stuck in Noob purgatory?  Shocked

Coinbase.com is my favorite. Signed up and linked my bank account and within minutes I was able to buy some coins. If you need them immediately you can also verify your identity via SSN and link a Visa credit/debit card in order to "Instant Buy" your coins and get them in minutes. Of course you have to live in the United States to use those features.

I suggest Coinbase as well. Makes the process very easy, although the wait times can be a few days after purchasing via USD.

Issue with Coinbase.com is that they will not let you make a second transaction until first is fully cleared.

Registered when price was below $600, when I finally got bank acct. verified the price was $750. Waited until it got down to $710 and made a test buy 0.05 BTC. I wanted to buy 5-10 BTC but now I can't, have to wait another 4-5 days until first transaction is not pending anymore.

After that you should be reasonably free to buy more.

// moral is you might want to make the first transaction big enough if the price is good
