NVIDIA GTX1070 8GB - Cryptonight-v7 Overclock Settings

You will get highest hashrate at the minimum power if you use these overclock settings.
These overclock settings is valid for HiveOS and Asus Dual. There are slightly difference if you have another type of NVIDIA GTX1070 8GB GPU.
You can adjust your overclock settings acording to the best and suitable hashrate.

CORE 175
MEMORY 550
POWERLIMIT 140

HASHRATE 670 kH/s

GPU needs 90-140 W. it always changes. So dont consider GPU needs 140W all the time.

*************************************************************************************************

DO YOU NEED HIGHER HASHRATE ?

You can lower core and increase memory if you want to push more.

CORE 150
MEMORY 1400
POWERLIMIT 120

HASHRATE
730 h/s

GPU needs 90-120 W. it always changes. So dont consider GPU needs 120W all the time.

Note: Please dont use these values if you are in a hot area. The optimal settings are in the first phrase.

I cannot live, I cannot die, trapped in myself.
Hold my breath as I wish for death. Oh please god, help me !

I don't think it's the optimal settings.

CN is more power friendly, and 140W is much power. I think 90W could be more efficient.

And CN likes memory clock. 600~700 is better than 550.

Comparing power consumption, i think that second choice (with higher hashrate) is better.

I believe you got a typo right there:

HASHRATE 670 kH/s

In any case, why would you be using a 1070 for Cryptonight? That doesn't make sense when it earns more mining other coins. Have you even tried usinng mining profitabiliy calculators? Here are some you can use first before posting unnecessarily here: whattomine, nicehash, cryptunit

Not everyone mines coins so that they can just dump them for bitcoin and then sell that back into fiat government debt markers. Some people might actually think it's a good idea to mine a cryptonight coin because it has privacy features they like, or they believe it will increase in value in future, or they just like the name of the coin.... or whatever.

The OP was just trying to offer some advice that may have been of help to someone - I don't think it was unnecessary at all.

Crypto currency enthusiast and miner since 2015. Mined approx 200 ETH during 2016 and 2017 and sold it at approximately $US40 each. Then I watched it reach $1000+ each. If anyone bothers to read this stuff pay attention to this: HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL

I started mining with 1 AMD 7950 and 1 R9-280X. Then I gradually built my AMD operation into 12 R9-290s. Awesome ETH hash but ridiculous power consumption and heat. Over the last year I defected to the Nvidia team. I now use GTX 1070s. They were expensive to buy (probably a bargain now) but awesome hash rate vs. power consumption. blah blah blah blah
