There's a nice mix of newbies and veterans in this forum.  What does everyone think Bitcoin will do in the short-term (this weekend, or the next couple of weeks or so)?

One of the newbies here...

It looks like BTC has survived the action by China and is coming back, right?

I think that this week it will continue to rise, maybe crash a little and peak at ~$850 per 1 BTC.
Just a complete guess haha

I'm not really a newb with trading, been trading since January 2013. We just saw a $100 move over, basically the 36 - 48 hours centering on Christmas day. Even just it being over $100 in under two days, is a big move in our insane world of BTC, but it doing that when all Western banks are closed is bullish beyond belief. I had high $290 and $400 orders in that were all cancelled so I could catch the bottom part of this move ($667).

If you'd asked me a little over 72 hours ago, I'd say wait for at least 2.5 months of a trough here. The technicals and fundamentals all pointed to a trough. Now I'm gangbustering money onto my exchanges.

Since the fork and $30 back to $10 last year I thought I'd seen a lot of insanity with it all. At least now that we've hit $1000 my wife value$ it and let's me marvel and piss time away! Wink Thus why I can actually afford to pontificate on bitcointalk for the first time in a year.

I think any time you can get bitcoin below $700 in the short term it is a gift.. I anticipate bitcoin crossing the +$1000 barrier again in the next 10 days and I have been tracking the coin daily for over a year now.. this is an easier thing to day trade than most stocks once you really feel comfortable with the price swings

I belive Bitcoin will drop to 300-500 before end of January 2014 because of Chinese selling BTC

Is there some kind of imposed, or un-imposed deadline for the Chinese to sell in January?

I just use intuition to trade. How do you actually "analyze" where its going to go?  I'd be espeically curious to hear nodroids on this.
