There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

$.10 is optimistic, as it would give it a ten billion dollar market cap once all coins are mined. It can happen, but it would take a few months at least.

I do predict it will get to $0.01 though in the coming weeks, after the Doge Road launch.

i suppose the people that like doge are the people that are living from paycheck to paycheck just like me so you would probably require more people to invest than there are people on this planet

15,327,324,708  doge out there at $ 0.10 that would be a marketcap of 1.5 billion USD , three times that of litecoin, that's remote, but not impossible

I think $.10 per Doge is optimistic, but I don't think it's unrealistic if bitcoin continues to grow. It has a real chance of beating out Litecoin - heck, the r/dogecoin sub already has more subscribers than r/litecoin.

15,335,835,048 DOGE

$0.10 per DOGE = 1,533,583,504$ marketcap
$1.00 per DOGE = 15,335,835,048$
$10 per DOGE = 153,358,350,480$

BTC atm = $ 8,942,528,959

nothing else to say... to put it bluntly, $0.01 would already be _extremely optimistic

I doubt it. Doge started as a joke and some people took it serious and invested in it.
All this viral hype will slowly fade away, same as currency itself. Just my opinion, maybe I'm wrong..

LOL at all the Doge haters. Just because you didn't get in early on a coin doesn't mean you need to criticize it everytime it's mentioned.

OP, Doge is a great investment right now, with Doge Road set to launch on New Year's. Keep it - we may or may not see $.10, but we will see $.01.

I'm holding a fair amount of DOGE just now and I think Doge Road will be a disaster. The SR admins seemed to have their heads screwed on about crypto and even they couldn't keep themselves out of prison. At best, Doge Road will be a successful scam (like Sheep Marketplace). If DOGE does get anywhere close to $.01, I don't think Doge Road will be responsible.

Fair point. I do think Doge Road has a real chance of being very successful, but at the same time the admins may just be a bunch of jokers. We'll see. Smiley

Too many people seem to instantly tab across to coinmarket cap - check what the BTC market cap is right now and then come out with a sweeping statement that generally follows the lines of 'lol no!'.
The same people would probably have all responded in the same way about LiteCoin a 18 months ago, and the same way about Quark 3 months ago.
Its a moving goalpost. Snr members tend to look down their noses and respond with negativity. Jr members all tend to respond with positivity and hope. Really i think the truth will be slap bang in the middle and dont think a couple of cents per coin is too far fetched come the end of next year - but theres so many damn variables who knows.
Id love it to hit 10cents. Id be happy with 1cent. Id be devestated with a dollar (because id have sold by then!).

Exactly. Who would have thought bitcoin's market cap would be ten billion dollars right now? If cryptocurrency grows this year like it did last year, a multibillion dollar market cap for a coin like Doge is completely realistic.

I keep my Doges and all people who belive in it do the same, because it is only way to keep it's value and create a way for it to rise much higher to the moon! Smiley

Also people with really big amounts should know that it is in their best interest to share some with faucet creators to help Doge hype spread more and more.

Doge is already visible in some media and we need to keep it viral. So spread the word, much profit ahead Smiley

Dogecoin is already one of most redistributed coins and it's rate obeys it's own rules not like many other altcoins.

I think that time has come to start a special thread to use each comming wave to boost coming momentum, focus community energy in most effective way. So that these who are non-belivers were leaving us when rate would go lowwer and belivers would get advantage of higher tides and continuous growth.
