I have the opportunity to purchase a used HIS Radeon 7970 for ~$350.

I would love to hear any opinions on price and also on performance.

Those who have/had them would yo please let me know any possible tweaks for this specific card? flashing necessary or recommended?

And yes, I have looked at https://litecoin.info/Mining_hardware_comparison, but as you know some of this information is either limited or out of date.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Wow...nice.

Are they HIS brand? or another type or mixture of 7970's?

What is a good price range?  And if you don't mind what part of the world are you located?

Also worth considering is every day you delay purchase is another day you don't use the card to mine at current difficulty.
