So I am mining Dogecoins right now for my first coin as i see it being the most profitable considering im running at 700 KH/s but am reading up on Earthcoins and am thinking to make the switch.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Both have such a low value that there is little risk.   I would stock pile a small amount of each just incase either takes off.

I think Earthcoin is easily the best of the 2, seems to be more serious and offer long term value.

I would advise you to go with Earthcoin over Dogecoin. I'd say Dogecoin's 15 minutes is up now, and although I haven't looked too much into Earthcoin, it seems like a safe alternative which is currently capturing a lot of interest and popularity while simultaneously providing real advantages.
