Update: Business has been taken care of. Thanks to the mods.

Bitcoin for beginners?
I am new in bitcoin , I have heard so many experience people on bitcointalk , is there any suggestions for bitcoin beginner

9 pages of discussion, literally nothing to be added there.

Last few comment...

The best thing is to motivate yourself in doing what you know will benefit you if you put in all the effort and time. So read and gain some experience don't rush.

You need to educate yourself about crypto, you need to set your mind and emotions in whatever happens to your investment or money.Patience and willingness to do things to end up good earnings.

Even though I'm also a beginner, but I learnt faster by going through the threads here, reading news constantly on cointelegraph and other major websites

Bounties for Newbies
What are bounties for newbies here??

11 pages so far. Again literally nothing new to be added.

Last few comments...

There are some bounty campaigns that accepts newbie but it is hard to find because it is only counted by the fingers.Mostly the are looking for at least Jr.member and above.
204th
Before joining any bounty it will be helpful to qualify you first by writing good posts. I don't think there are good bounties for newbies, because if you find one, they are very overcrowded.

My point is, isn't it time to lock those topics? These people are just spamming on these topics. I am pretty sure in this section, there are more useless posts like these however these twos are currently trolling in the first page.

Be happy be at peace. Looking forward to BTC at $1M

This has been already discussed in this section that threads like this should be automatically locked after it got a certain amount of reply but the case is that it would not be possible because it will affect other important threads that although it is considered mega threads, it still contributes to the forum.

Spammers don't read through all the pages to find an answer in their questions, they are lazy enough to just posts the same questions over and over again.

Sometimes threads like those are created/re-created by spammers so they could post their recycled posts using their alt accounts... Sooner or later you'll expect a thread here in Meta from them asking "why my posts are gone?" "why my post count is dropping?" and "why my thread was deleted?" again, it will compensate the posts they've lost...

Yes and yes.  I've seen it over and over.  However, I think the threads should be locked or deleted (preferably the latter) and comments in Meta should be directed to a sticky--and the Meta thread locked before it goes on too long.  Eventually they'll give up and move on.  These idiots are mostly alt accounts; they're not too smart; but word travels fast in these shitpost villages, and they'll learn that simple lesson.

This is why I have beginners & help blocked, along with Bitcoin Discussion (unfortunately), Altcoin Discussion, and Economics.  Those sections have hundreds of threads that need deleting IMO.  And yes, members will keep creating idiotic threads once the old ones are locked, but I still think it needs to be done.  It's not affecting me since I don't visit those sections, but I know it irritates a lot of good members here.

This has been already discussed in this section...
My bad, I can not just recall it properly however I am having a feeling that I read a topic about mega thread few days or weeks. May be I did not pay much attention there.

...that threads like this should be automatically locked after it got a certain amount of reply but the case is that it would not be possible because it will affect other important threads that although it is considered mega threads, it still contributes to the forum.
If we were a new community and struggled for topics to engage then It was logical. AFAIK we are an established forum with over 23M monthly traffic, we do not need to think about keeping a useless thread so that people can comment because we do not have enough topics.

I guess this is exactly why the mods are here (one of the many reasons). Mods are here to look after the health of the forum. Locking, deleting, moving, banning, helping with answers?

It does irritates a lot. Who like seeing same thing rephrased again and again?  Angry

I also do not visit the Bitcoin Discussion, Altcoin Discussion that much. I can not recall vising Economics too coz I really don't have much idea about Economics. Sometimes I see some stupid topics in the Serious discussion section too. It's just ridiculous. But yes, I understand that we have to live with all these.

To me, Beginners & help section is a bit different after noticing some good posts recently. So, I activated my notification for this section. IMO it's not as bad as the others. There are few genuine newbies looking for answers in this section.

I think the threads provide a useful function. Don't lock the threads, but put restrictions on the posters adding to the threads.

Seems like three of them were taken care of except the last one Newbie in Cryptocurrency. May be the mods knows better however thanks to the mods.

I would like to here an example of putting restrictions. Any proposed algorithm - that after posting x number of posts you can not make a new post on the same topic?
