I'm new to this irc network and am having trouble. I authenticate myself with gpg and i receive the message [17:27] <gribble> You are now authenticated for user '******' with key ****************" but after that I still carry the nickname Guest#####. Help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

your freenode irc nick and your gpg wot username don't necessarily need to be the same.

if you haven't registered on freenode yet, here are the instructions: http://freenode.net/faq.shtml#registering

if you already have a freenode irc nick, simply identify with that first before doing the gpg auth.
