Binarium
Is the cryptocurrency protected from ASICs and oriented on games and general purpose computations in network

Algorithm: Modified X11 with additional hash and encryption functions, polymorphic protection from ASICs ( algorithm reconfigures itself, based on block data ) and memory hard hashing function, which makes it costly to implement ASICs and reduces efficiency on multi-core architectures ( GPUs and multi-core processors ) - see whitepaper.

Current block reward: 25 Binariums.
Block time: 2.5 minutes.
Max supply: Depends on the network difficulty, approximately 48 - 68 millions of Binariums.
Premine before announcement: 4 millions of Binariums.

Bounty program: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4067022.0 .

Binarium cryptocurrency is the first one, which is protected from ASICs with polymorphic protection and oriented on games. It does so by configurable hashing algorithm (with use of different hashing and encryption functions), which configures itself once per week or blocks generation difficulty change. This makes it costly to implement and own ASICs for each sub-function and reconfigure them in accordance with current algorithm state. And it uses data amplification with Salsa20 fast stream cipher. This also makes hashing function dependent on RAM sizes and random accesses speed. Which, in turn, makes it even more costly to build ASICs for and reduces GPU efficiency in mining, because their VRAM is better suited for piplined transfers of large data volumes, instead of speed of random accesses, and because their cache is shared between cores and part of it is read-only. Also, each thread, calculating hashes for Binarium blocks should have its own copy of memory area for data amplification, because this process and its intermediate data depends on information of block in consideration. With the main anti-ASIC factor is the ability to change hashing functions after Binarium widespread adoption, while keeping its current consensus.

It is based on Dash cryptocurrency and supports master nodes, InstantSend and PrivateSend functions from it.

We plan to make its integration with online games in form of:

- Ingames currency, which player can buy and sell for real money.
- Created by game developers in-game and near-game quests, which players can complete and receive reward in Binariums.
- Player to player trade agreements, from which game developers and Binarium developers receive commission.
- Games, DLC's, ingame items, ingame money and other valuables exchange.
- Ability to organize tournaments by game developers and gamers themselves with prizes in Binarium, games, DLCs, ingame items and other valuables. Later on we plan to add smart-contracts, electronic documents management, Artificial Intelligence (AI) training and calculations in Binarium network and other functions, which we’ll keep for now in secret. You can see details of functions implementation yourself in Binarium source code.

When pool open?

Now we integrate Binarium with games and then will see whether we'll organize mining pool. Currently solo mining is effective.

Initially there was no much sense to make an announcement, because cryptocurrency was just a copy of Dash. Then we implemented new hashing algorithm and tested it inside company and registered IP rights on its name. And released it publicly in open beta test just a week ago.

So effectively a 1.5 million premine. Is there an explorer to see the distribution

Around these numbers, we now implement Block-Chain explorer; it should be clear, that Binarium was in closed testing this time inside company, so, most of this premine is in developers' wallets. We 'll use part of it as initial funds for in-game items trading and rewards for players for completion of different quests and to control its exchange rate on exchange, which we develop now.

Hello Rodion.
How many coins are required to start the master node?

Hello, sssergy, the same way, as Dash requires 1000 Dash, Binarium requires 1000 Binariums to start a master node.

Hi, looks promising Smiley is there already a way to mine it?

Hello, there is a way to mine it : mining is enabled in Options -> Settings window with "Enable mining" checkbox.

only cpu, right? or also gpu?

Binarium is oriented on CPU mining with reconfigurable hashing algorithm with 17 hashing and encryption functions, one of which is memory hard hashing function. All this makes ASICs creation costly and reduces mining efficiency on multi-core architectures ( GPUs and multi-core processors ). Also, we made pseudo-random non-repeating nNounce picking for clients, so that all clients perform mostly different work and have a chance to mine a block, proportional to their performance. We made this to allow more fair mining process for network participants.

Sounds extremely cool. You should guys, build a Discord channel it is easier to follow up with all news and to gather a following.

Also reserved for German translation. Are you doing any translation bounty?

Will there be any exchange? I would like to get some Binarium tokens to get a MasterNode Smiley

Yes, your wallet is mining right. We made "Enable mining" option, wallet mines, if it is enabled or if gen=1 config option is set in binarium.conf file or in command-line parameters.
