Hashing variance on restart.

My jala will report different speeds depending on how it starts up it seems, is this normal? It will run for days at a solid 9.1 average but if it has to be restarted for what ever reason some times it will only run at 8.7 or so. If I unplug it, some times it takes a few times, and plug it back in it will run back in the 9's. Is this normal? CGMiner will always report accurate speeds won't it?

Yes it's normal. They clock according to how many engines it detects are working well. That's why if you're going to unplug it, it's always worth letting it cool down fully before plugging it back in. Others have reported good results from sticking it in the fridge before firing it up, but be careful for moisture may condense on them if you do that.

Yeah, just try and keep the rig as cool as possible at all times. If there is a big drop-down on restart suggests its running quite hot.
