Hi, so I had to reboot rig and then I downloaded amd adrenaline driver. I already DDU the driver. I was using blockchain before. After I installed adrenaline I was able to mine with 2/8 rx570 GPU. When I applied the atikmdagpatch my computer then recognizes 8/8 rx570 but as soon as I apply atikmdagpatch my computer would be really laggy to the point it takes a minute for every action. It will also make it so that claymore not mine anymore. It'll load everything up until it says 7 pools found and that the location such as us.west1. It wont load past that so then I backed up the atikmdagpatch and when I reboot it wont be laggy anymore and will then again mine with the 2/8 rx570 still recognized. Has anyone been through this before?

As it seems to me, there is a problem with motherboard and 8 cards on it

Try with 6-7 cards

have you checked the driver settings, whether your adrenaline driver should be "compute mode" or maybe you need to patch the "signature" drivers only.

repeat the process again (ddu>adrenalnin>atikmdagpatch)

After applying patch (and reboot) wait for a while it takes time to install driver on all 8 cards in win. For my 6 cards rig it took around 15 minutes....

This ever happen to me.
The solution is : put just 1 GPU at PCIe > DDU ,don't restart > delete AMD folder > reboot PC > install again the driver ( adrenalin/blockchain driver), don't restart  > rename "atikmdagpatch" to "atikmdagpatch-bios" then run it > shutdown PC > put all GPU at PCIe > login windows > run again "atikmdagpatch-bios" > reboot your PC. Done Smiley

I've ran it for 3 months with 8 cards before and it was never a problem. But I'll give it a try anyways. Anything to make it run again

Really? I'm happy to hear someone experienced the same thing. I'm going to give this a shot later when I'm able to.

Best fix is to run linux and never have to worry about Windows and its garbage drivers anymore. Your profits will increase from the stability alone.

Stop buying industrial miners, running them at home, and then complaining about the noise.

I've tried this lots of times but as soon as I patch it. The rig will slow down considerably and claymore wont mine either.

I honestly might try this as last resort. I've never used linux before so I'd have to Google it first

Did your windows OS auto-update recently? There have been lots of reports by people who didn't disable their windows auto-updates which resulted in failing miners due to GPUs not being detected, low hashrates, etc., etc.. Check out the ethermining subreddit, theres lots of useful comments out there too.

Basically you could try DDU then go reinstalling your drivers then repatching atikmdagpatch.
