IBM has been know for decades to be jumping on any ship at any moment. They went late into internet, late into eCommerce and they only live on their existing base of corporate clients doing little for them at a ridiculous price.

IBM is the large company in the world if they show their interest in crypto system then it will be beneficial for all so they accepted some system like Ripple / XRP but they should accept bitcoin as we well because it has the highest value in the market so they should think about future currency and use bitcoin .

It is great news for the techno world. I hope IBM is taking a good initiative to move into the developed world. But I am also agreed with @ francojon. However, let’s see, what surprise IBM is taking for us.

IBM is a very influenial platform. If they are interested in crypto currency then crypto currency has a long way to go. Many companies will see it and may get involve to it. I think it is going to spread throughout the world very soon.

Interesting news how the project that has already created by CEO of EOS dan larimer try to compete another project that has created to be the banker system too such as ripple. Which is the best future open payment system?
but just curious about the comparison of the spesification between stellar and ripple on its tech. ripple is still become a winner in various reason.

If I'm not mistaken, Ripple and Stellar are created by the same person. Why does he let "his sons" become rivals? Anyway, IBM is great technology company. I hope they will brings to us something special. I heard about this collaboration a year ago, but now they are starting to show up. A promising future for XLM.

Stellar is as strong as ripple in the market, it just needs such partners to attract ripple investors, I would rather invest in stellar instead of ripple, no hype  and not overpriced.
