Please join us www.coinotron.com2011-08-24 New functions added: - new worker type: AUTO ( Systems automatically chooses what coin to mine for. There is no need to point your workers to other sites, ports etc. Just choose AUTO option for worker and everything will be done by system! Calculation is based on current exchange rates, difficulties and number of coins generated in blocks. ) - support for SolidCoins - profitability ratio for each coin type - you can see what coin is best to mine - user interface improvements

Brilliant! I can easily see this being the future if it works well. Only tricky part is actually exchanging the coins I suppose.

You are correct. For best results quick and automated exchange is essential. But actually automated exchange is a pain. Currently it could be done only manually. I should have a separate account on exchange site and few times per day perform these actions: 1. Collect all new SC(AUTO) coins 2. Send to exchange website 3. Trade for BTC ( possibly wait for good price ) 4. Send back BTC to my special BTC wallet 5. Run batch process to distribute BTC to proper users. 6. Answer all questions regarding not good enough exchange rate

If i use AUTO worker, where can i see what i'm mining now ? At the Moment, it should be switched to BTC, because SC is at 0.75. EDIT: OK, now i see it... worker switched over to BTC... nice !

Does the "AUTO" worker limit your choices to only the "currencies" you have recieving addresses set? IE, can we exclude a currency if we are not interested in it and have auto pick the second best?

Corrently not. But I'm planning to introduce several versions od AUTO. Now I'm collecting users ideas like yours. Are the stats on the individual accounts page delayed or in real time? My workers show shares accepted but the site reports no work recieved... Are they all being rejected/stale?

There is small bug in pool. It doesn't harm any rewards or payouts but is confusing. When rounds are superfast sometimes process which calculates unconfirmed rewards misses them. So you don't see unconfirmed rewards for these fast rounds. But when block is confirmed, comes second process and calculates confirmed rewards. After that process payouts are being sent.
I'm trying to recreate this bug in delevopment env. and solve it.

Can you elaborate on this? Where exactly it happens?

Can you elaborate on this? Where exactly it happens? Ah its fine actually, you just cannot create a worker for auto directly(There only are BTC, NMC, SC, IXC and I0C. Choosing a type and then changing it works fine. You might want to enable creating a auto worker right from the start

Wow that is a bug ! I simply didn't test if auto option is available when you create new worker. Thanks for description. I will amend it ASAP.

I LOVE Coinotron's Auto option, and the 0% fee til end of this month is pretty nice too. But I have two questions:
1. Is there a way to tell what our current GH/s is? I have four GPUs and it's easy to tell if any are down from the GH/s number. 2. What is the fee % going to be after the introductory period is over?
Thanks!

ad 1 There is no info about your workers hashpower, but if one of them hasn't submitted work for 30 minutes, date of last share submitted by this worker is shown in red. ad 2 Honestly - I don't know if I introduce fee in September.

Yeah there is, in the Stats page: http://coinotron.com/coinotron/AccountServlet?action=statistics But you only get listed if you're in the top 20 producers for a particular coin type.

There is another bug, auto doesn't seem to actually work. I0Coin just jumped under profitability 1 Bitcoin should be most profitable right now, but my worker still gets the last share for I0coin. Either it is not displayed correctly or it really doesn't work I think it doesn't since most people still are mining i0coins at the pool. discard that it does work there seems to be some delay.
