360 seconds limit

Hi there!

I read the Newbie's Readme.

But I'm still confused about the 360sec. limit (writing PMs, posting, etc). When does this get lifted? (Its kind of hard to communicate with other forum members  )

I would use the forum search, but I guess this is limited to 360 seconds as well... and I'm not going to waste another 6 minutes of my life (I'm sorry, I guess I am a little annoyed  )

As you progress through the ranks of the forum the time limit will eventually decrease.


Just remember this little equation:

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Activity is updated every 30 minutes.

It decreases with activity. I think you get activity for every 2 weeks you've been here.

I dislike the 5 minimum posts here and 4 hours of login time to post something on most of the rest of the site, BUT it does keep spammers away or at least makes it harder.  It is like TSA, they want to keep everyone safe, but the process is a pain for people who are not doing anything wrong.

I think it's fairly silly to make a post requirement at all because it means the newbies section will never be anything but spamfest.

Just make sure you wait the full 6 minutes each time. Log-ins and searches also count.

May be i should log out?

What do you mean? Logging in and out again will reset the time back to zero. The time limit goes down the more activity you get.

If you are doing it right, you would read the stickies, which could take some time

What do you mean? Logging in and out again will reset the time back to zero. The time limit goes down the more activity you get.

i mean, i wait for time online increases 6 minutes and i log out - log in again.
Now i wait 10-15 minutes for sure
