as we know, bitcoin is growing at the moment, albeit slowly.

but nothing lasts forever, so just like myspace and facebook, one day people will get bored with bitcoin and move on to something else e.g. fiat money.

what will you do then?

What will you do when there are fewer computers, or cell phones, or TVs, or cars?

False premise, false outcome.

If I think Bitcoin's ecosystem really threatens to implode, I would leave the Bitcoin Titanic for a replacement, hoping I'm not too late.

Horrible comparison:  Bitcoin to Facebook.

This reflects a complete lack of understanding of what Bitcoin is.

Try again.

I love philosophical questions. When theres no BTC I'll start using xxxcoin. What will you do when there's no fiat?

slowly? how many users did coinbase have at the start of the year, and how much does it have today? it's not growing slowly.. it's just that your expectations are a bit unreasonable.

Usually people do the opposite. FIAT to BTC.

I guess in this case LTC will contract even more.

since litecoin doesn't offer anything drastically different from BTC, then it would go down along with it.

For there to be another big currency that people would jump to that currency would have to have the same capital level bitcoin does, currently no other crypto currency has 11 million coins in circulation.
