whois says Registrant Email:rajeshramesh1@live.com which is very suspect in itself I clicked on the link inside but I never installed Java, will that mean my computer could possibly infected?

Done. This is the .exe file that the Java wants to download and run (that alone is a bad sign). Stay away from it.

This guy with the same email was spamming his fake Washington Post links here last night. If you're on Windows and clicked it you probably have a virus, luckily I'm on linux .

I mean the choice to install a GNU/Linux OS is a decision that is made in the mind and not 'lucky', it is a considered and calculated choice. Buying a PC/laptop and using whatever OS came with it (which usually happens to be a version of windows) is down to 'luck'. So most people are using windows which is due to luck, but those running a GNU/Linux distro is down to skill in picking an OS.
