Unfortunately, there's no easy way to tell this site from any of 50 similar looking scam sites.

EDIT: On further investigation this site has several smoking gun anomalies that are exactly identical to known scams.

Rather than slander you should share your evidence with the forums.

I am neither supporting or refuting either side, just trying to keep things civil.

I should give tips to scammers on how to improve their sites to avoid rapid detection?

Well we'll go with the things he can't change in a hurry, 2 year old company with a domain registered 2 weeks ago? Favorable "reviews" posted around the web yesterday, by reviewers registered the same day? Server hosting multiple other questionable sites.

There is a lot more but I am not inclined to teach anyone how to better rip off the unwary, so I ain't gonna post it.

Hi Guys!
This is Tim with Vortech Labs. I would like to clarify any thoughts of us being a "scam" site. I completely understand your concerns and being part of the BTC community Ihave
seen my fair share. We are nothing close to a scam site, we are registered to do business legally, with corporation formed, legal paperwork including business license etc. That doesn't prove us but this should, we will be uploading a youtube video of our machines Thursday night with the Thursday newspaper in front of the machines. We have a simple business formula, we buy machine pre orders from people, slightly used machines, and assemble our own Litecoin and Altcoin machines which we sell. We buy low and sell high. Just that simple. This allows us to offer a variety of different companies as well. We buy in bulk when available such as on Ebay and amazon. We know how many scams there are because we got ripped off twice. Once I was able to get out money back, the other I lost 23 BTC...So it does suck,we know!

The only thing we are probably going to have to discontinue is our Rental service for the moment. We do not have enough machines to handle all of the requests. Also, our merchant service as of last week decided bit coins or any business related to bit coins can not use their service. So again, we have to find another merchant service. This is becoming a big problem with anything bit coin.. We PURPOSELY use a merchant service so you have BUYER PROTECTION.. We started the corp in 2011, but finally decided to put up a website and sell more machines recently. So yes our site is new, but we are not.

If anybody has any questions please feel free to ask us here.
Thank You

~Tim

Maybe I'll phone that condo complex and ask if there is any licensed businesses on the premises... or is it the fact that there's a large number of unrented/unsold apartments there and you've got a realtor  buddy  working a mail drop for you?

Maybe you can explain why if you are so experienced in bitcoin all the copy on your site is almost complete crap, it's "bitcoinese" like Engrish, or how "yingyongyingyong" probably sounds like fluent Mandarin to a Redneck who's never been anywhere.... yah blame the 3rd party web developer, you just sent it live without reading it of course.

Maybe you can explain how your resale machines and front page reviews sound like no known configurations, yah, it's "bitcoinese" again, sounds almost real, but actually complete bullshit.

I like your website, seems like its an easy place to get mining hardware, but as others have mentioned almost looks too good to be true.   Has anyone dealt with these guys before?

So I checked out their webpage and here are some of the interesting things I found:

1) Some of the mining machines are simply Mac Pro cases with a badly photshoped logo
2) The image for "Sandra Soto" a " lead sales representative" is a stock image. Here is the url http://vortechlabs.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/japanese_businesswoman_with_arms_crossed_BLD076599-100x182.jpg
3) David Martin is actually Sheldon-Yellen (Chief Operating Officer of Belfor)
3.1) He was on Undercover Boss
4)Tim Friar same situation as Sandra
  4.1)http://vortechlabs.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/F0053880-Businessman_using_tablet_computer-SPL-100x182.jpg
5) Actually most of their "About" page is fake
5.1) The image seen here http://vortechlabs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/multiple-gpu-password-cracker.jpg is not even a mining machine
    5.1.1) http://arstechnica.com/security/2012/12/25-gpu-cluster-cracks-every-standard-windows-password-in-6-hours/
6) Apparently they are the only place in the world that has stock of the BFL Monarch (Fyi, even BFL doesn't have them)
 6.1)http://vortechlabs.com/products/
7) Also apparently "Danny Brenner" is not actually a Seo Expert (No surprise there)
 7.1) http://vortechlabs.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/hipster-brooklyn-europe-mac-laptop-computer.jpg

There is probably a lot more  stuff with this site that is more than a little bit dodgy but hopefully the above should be enough.

Here is where you can send some of the money I just saved you: 1TEKA6pPvdkaa9ntamsjGUiUrhDBjEWDP

Excellent. Which states are you incorporated in? You say you're located in NY, yet the state of NY has no record of "Vortech Labs Inc."

I just saw your frontpage. looks cool but are you sure 100GH/S can mine 0.12 btc in a day?

also skeptical of the figures in 300GH and 600GH.
