Hi,

Every time i try and open any of my wallets i get a smiliar error to below:

i recently downloaded YYCoin and was told that was a trojan. I deleted it and ran a malware scan straight after it. Im not sure if that has anything to do with it (im pretty sure it may) though any advice would be appreciate.

I have a backup of most of the wallet.dat files though some i dont like CAT  Sad

If someone can resolve this ill be happy to give a bounty of 0.1 btc.

Rename wallet.dat to wallet2.dat and see if it loads with a fresh wallet. If so, your wallet needs fixing

hi there evoked22, it seems like your blockindex got corrupted somehow.

try deleting your blockchain database .dat files (not your wallet.dat!) and then restart your client.
This should force to rebuild the database. (you can find it in AppData/Catcoin)

hope this will fix your issue!

Have a good one.

Hi. Thank you for all your help. Much appreciated Smiley I will try your solutions and see how it goes.

This happens with all the wallets I have tried so far. I had tried deleting the wallet.dat file and the client opened without an issue. Im worried the wallet files were compromised. Is that a possibility?

Thank you

Big mistake. Worst scam I have seen so far. It is entirely possible for your wallets to be lost forever.
Anyway, try to copy the wallet alone to another computer (if there is one) and open it from there.

Hi, thank you all for your help. I will try it and see how it goes.

I am a bit worried that the wallet files were emailed to the person and I want to know whether thats possible and whether I should get a new wallet recover the files and transfer them out asap. Or am I being paranoid?

Cheers Smiley

Yes it is. Since in most cases you have to allow the coin wallets programs through firewall, and given you have opened this yy-scam wallet... Well, you know what it is about.
You better start anew on a clean machine and transfer all funds on your backups, the sooner the better.

Hi,

this is the result. Thank you for all your help.

- Installed linux and recovered all the wallets there.

- Installed a new instance of all the wallets in windows and transferred them out to a new wallet.

- Some were already cleaned out Sad some were not! Smiley

So basically they took some of them and the rest i beat them to it. I lost CAT, Bitbar, doge, betacoin

My donation to the crypto world  Smiley

Thank you everyone who helped me out. I would like to share the bounty with you all though none of the solutions included the most crucial part which was to send out the coins from the wallet to a new one asap.

Please post your relative btc/coinye/eac address and i will send you all something for your help.
