Got mine today, came with a mini-dp to hdmi adapter, a dvi-hdmi adapter, and CF bridge. Unfortunately it won't even post. Goes to 100% on the fan and stays there RMAing tomorrow.

Yeah I'm thinking of RMA'ing mine too. I mean it works just fine and looks sexy as hell, but the mounting bracket is all kinds of bent up from improper packing.

Yours does operate fine though and odds are they'll ship it the same way with your new one and you'll have sent a bent card for a bent card.

Did you buy yours from NewEgg, or the other place (that threw in several misc. accessories for about $8 more in shipping)

RMA it now because if it dies 20 days from now, you will have a hard time convincing newegg that it was bent from shipping...

Is there an easy way to swap mounting brackets? Or is it like welded on there or something?

It's easy to swap if you have another one... Identical preferably

I read thru this whole post because I just bot 3 of these cards from amazon. I have a nice 1200 psu and I am hoping to get all 6 GPUs up to 420mhash. with linuxcoin 2.5G with one PSU. but I am a little worried about the heat on the 2nd gpu someone was talking about...
anyone still running this thing?

I have my first 3 running at 825/300 doing 380Mh/s per GPU. Anything above this seems to be unstable since you are pulling so much juice through the motherboard. You would probably need 16x extenders with the extra molex to be able to do higher Mh/s per GPU.

i have been running a pair of 5970 for a while, not that impressed. 5870s are still much better bang for buck. with win7 64bit and guiminer, any kind of overclock makes the pc crash after a few days of running. Now i just run everything at default, gets 1200MH for the pair - 300MH per gpu. You will definitely need some space between the cards if running 2 of those otherwise the fan cannot keep up. I had to get a pcie extender and an utility blower fan. Now it runs at around 70 degress with 60% fan speed. With so many people buying this card, hopefully someone can post some stable config for win7 running guiminer. my rig:

I'm getting 409-410 MH/s per core @ 910 on a PCI-E 2.1 x1 extender/adapter. Phoenix 1.50/Win7 64. AMD driver v11.5, Memory @ 300MHz, 1.112v, 3% phatk mod. 73C/88C with a tabletop fan blowing on it. Also running two 5870s @ 450-460 MH/s on the same mobo. AGGRESSION=12 WORKSIZE=256 BFI_INT VECTORS -k phatk

I'm getting 377-378 Mhash per core using guiminer 2011-07-01 with poclbm on Windows7 64bit, flags -v -w128. I could not get it to OC past 850. In an open case my temps are an off the hook 90c+. I also could not get the memory to down clock that far without crashing. How did you do it? I tried Rivatuner and MSI Afterburner. Trixx tends to be more reliable. I have no clue why but I have had problems going below 500 mhz and with trixx that problem does not exists.

This is the first I've heard of phatk 2.2, but I don't really keep up on the latest & greatest. Is it faster?
