Does he know tho, hes got his head in the sand. It should have NO ball in the middle, just the O.

This coin is aimed at casinos and gambling as its main use, why the persistence with a Lotto ball in the design, it doesn't work.

Didn't even see that. He basically copied his own design. Bad, bad, bad. No ones paying 3BTC for a copy, funky

JPY coin is a concept design I did... It's NOT a real coin... I used the sun element of my JPY coin as I won't be using it in the final design for my JPY coin.and it fits perfectly the branding for LOTTOCOIN..

The JPY coin at the beginning of the thread was just a sample of my design skills to get a DEV interested and was used by Oldminer to illustrate the direction he wanted the coin design to go... also how can you 'copy' your own design... its not a copy as its my original design...

For 3 Bitcoin Lottocoin can use this design exclusively and I'd redesign the JPY coin completely if it was chosen... the work I put in to JPY coin was loads and worth 3 Bitcoin just for that...

Seriously... The Lottocoin needs a good memorable logo that can be reproduced and read down to 50 pixels...
The physical coin is NOT the logo... its a supporting graphic that can be used by the likes of ebay sellers...

Come on let's just get this damn thing done and out there!

It quoted a post that was deleted. So I did the same.

And just sticking up for Funky, of course he isn't going to post a totally new design up, only for it be ignored. He's used an element from a previous idea to save time, or because he liked it, and to show you what a real vector looks like. Its head and shoulders above anything in this thread still. I'd make a couple of changes, but still, its not bad is it.

Listen guys...

I don't care if you use my design or another... The work I have done is to set the bar higher... As I said from BEFORE this coin went on Cryptsy I'd do the job for 3 Bitcoin and I advised in very strong terms it was essential as part of the launch on Cryptsy... in the scheme of the evolution of this brand and the net worth of the product being traded now and in the future 3 Bitcoin is absolutely nothing and a fraction of the cost a real world design and branding company would charge...

Let's get real here... the lost time from not having a 'wow' factor logo has cost more than 3 bitcoins... let's not waste any more time and get a logo out there!

I like the color choice, not a bad design. Rather simple. But if this is all you can do, then criticizing others is not the way to go

I have put my self out there now so flame me if you like. I've been doing this 15 years, I can do a lot more than you think, but I'm not going to sit here for days if it isn't wanted, lets hear some feedback first. I'm sat on millions of these coins, so if you think I won't speak my mind when I can see a mistake been made then you don't know me. There are others in this thread who have a lot of money invested in this coin and have spoke out, so this isn't a personal thing, its simply to make sure this coin makes maximum value so we all benefit.

i hope this won´t take another 2 weeks for choosing the new logo.
The sooner the better. It´s time. @funkycoin is right, much too much details (gjeric´s design). Keep it simple.

hope to see the new logo soon.

keep it up
greetings

Absolutely. Well your design looks very good. As I said it's prob. the best. Simple, elegant. If you can make it even better then why not. I don't know what's the status on gjerics design, maybe hes been paid, I don't know

I tried all sorts of gambling elements, from playing cards, dice, lotto balls etc in the design. Everything was a distraction because you can over engineer logos. I have my own style anyway, it shows in all my designs. I love the clean modern Web2.0 look, its relevant to the audience that's using these coins. You can blow my design up for a billboard, or create a desktop icon from it, it stays readable and you recognize it immediately, its all about the word.

The logo design is clean, classy, elegant and clear... I totally understand why you have stripped to the bare minimum and used the universal KIS (keep It Simple) design rule to eliminate unwanted 'clutter' and additional elements that detract from illuminating the word LOT.

My design attempts the same but keeps the original 'sun shine' optimism of the original LOTTOCOIN logo while cutting back the clutter of too many elements like piles of coins ... like yours it keeps the typography simple and clean.

My only slight concern is that through stripping it back so far it fails to have a personality and is maybe a bit 'too' corporate... my other concern is it is   slightly 'funereal' rather than expressing the key brand value of fun and conveying that the coin is 'key' to your fortune.

Take the National Lottery logo for the UK... this is a masterpiece that combines fun and optimism in an instantly recognisable logo... it has personality and cross over appeal that targets the very audience it aims at. There is no other logo like it in the world so the brand is unique. There are many logos that are text in circles (and squares)... as this is an 'easy option' to make a logo clean and readable in the smallest amount of pixel space.

IMHO, putting yours next to the UK National Lottery Logo shows it up to be too plain for the audience the coin is aiming at.

Bitcoin's simple B works perfectly as it reflects currency and the US dollar in its aim was to become an alternative currency. LOT is a coin for playing casino games and having a 'flutter' so there should be an element that conveys /bright future, happy days, fun times, etc

On the plus side it lays down the guideline for showing how clean design and clean type is the way forward as it is readable and scaleable... all important when designing for the web ... I just think the logo as it stands needs an additional 'twist'. Finding the twist that makes it more than clean type in a circle is the reason this excercise is so difficult, and as I have said so many times on this thread, it highlights why big companies spend millions on branding as it is the 'inspirational 'twist' combined with clean scaleable design that makes the difference between a brand that is world class and a logo that is too simple.

lol at Funkycoin AKA CoinMakr trying to blag 3BTC from the OP.

gjeric's design is the best logo imho, obviously put some work in. Please don't take advice from 'experts' on the forum, even if they have been a graphic designer for 50 years Smiley
