1070 - card number 3. And why 1 and 2 cards are approximately equal, when the system only 1 1070 and 4 1050?

Can you tell about driver versions? Nvidia-smi shows
NVIDIA-SMI 381.22

The miner always seems to favour the first card. I get 323 307 227 232 h/s on 4 x 1060's.. all on x1 risers.. a right spread

It is necessary to include PCI-E GEN3 everywhere. In the rig with the i3 8400, this changes the speed from 700 to 1000-1100. On the rig with the g4400 processor nothing has changed and the card 1050 gives still 150 h / s. The CPU load is 100% on all rigs and more than 1000 h / s with 1 rig is not obtained. Pentium g4400 it does not work out more than 700-800.

You can put at least as many cards as you like, but you can not get 1000-1200 hashes from 1 rig.

I guess most mainstream motherboards only have gen3 on the first slot.

1 x PCI Express 3.0* / 2.0 x16 slot (blue at x16 mode)
1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot (black at x4 mode, compatible with PCIe x1
and x4 devies)
2 x PCI Express 2.0 x1 slots
3 x PCI slots
* PCIe 3.0 speed is supported by Intel® 3rd generation CoreTM

That would explain the first card being a higher has rate. Jumping from an i5 to an i7 yields a 400h/s increase on the total hash rate.

I have an experimental rig asus prime z-370A + i3-8100
If you include 3 1050ti cards through risers into 3 GEN3 slots (3 16x - GEN3), you get the result: 150, 150, 250, if you connect 2 cards to GEN3, and third in PIC-E 1x, you get 150, 250, 250.

0-290.1 1-233.5 Total: 523.7 H/s  2018/06/03 20:20:03 1 - Yay, solution found!
0-309.1 1-245.0 Total: 554.0 H/s  2018/06/03 20:21:11 1 - Yay, solution found! - 2x1050ti Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU G4400 @ 3.30GHz PCI-E 16x GEN3 without raisers

Tested with 2 GTX1060 6Gb (PCI-E x8) + i7 2700k @4.6Ghz
i get 588h/s max :

In HiveOs 790h/s max :

Im getting 280h/s extra moving from linux to windows miner.

4 x 1060 = 948h/s  i5 2500s all on x1 risers windows

on linux was 680h/s

100% cou usage in windows same as linux

it's the opposite for me, i couldn't boot MinerOs (Always stuck on startup).
you can use Ubuntu or Lubuntu (i got the same result as HiveOs) 16.04 LTS

generally speaking i have 1060 hash/s wih HiveOS , under win 10 i have 960 with same power limit / core clocks etc. Actually looking at cards on nvidiainspector they draw more power than linux reports. ( 120-140 W respectively for gtx 1070 ti / 1080 ). I have i7 8700 but it's running at 30 % under win 10 so it is looking good. Also the dependency over PCIE x16 slots / super strong CPU etc seems removed under windows. So my guess is that actually under linux they is still plenty of room for improvement and eventual + in hash there. Windows should also be capable of a bit more I am seeing that cards stay at 100% gpu load , but constantly fall to low loads . Still overall linux seems better for 1-2 GPU system and windows seems better for multi gpu systems.

seems like win version and linx version are different miners from different coders?

What is a "cublas error (um_31)" and how to fix it?

Spent several hours on many of my rigs and could not get past 2 GPU's without the Window's miner crashing.. Got the same CUBLA's error's.

Perhaps there will be a fix soon.
