Cryptocurrency projects that reach new heights need to differentiate themselves from the rest of the pack.  Here at Vertical we’ve been hard at work doing things the right way and are extremely excited to announce the Vertex platform and our first use case.

The team at Vertical recognizes that there are too many cryptocurrencies trying to do what they shouldn’t: recreate currency.  There are plenty of hugely successful projects, like Bitcoin, servicing that segment of the cryptocurrency marketplace.  Instead, we’ve decided to focus our efforts on solving existing problems within the broader business ecosystem.  We will use the Vertex platform, our gateway between the Vertical blockchain and problem-specific APIs, to support our use cases.
The first use case we are developing and implementing is track and trace for constituent ingredients and final packaging for food and beverage partners.  Vertex FoodTrace ™ is focused on delivering a highly cost-effective, unalterable, verifiable, transparent and distributed track and trace service to industry by creating a familiar, intuitive, and simple-to-access portal that does not require any specific blockchain programming knowledge.

We are grateful for all of our early supporters and are excited that this is only the beginning of Vertical’s use-case expansion.  We plan to make it to the top by identifying other blockchain-appropriate use-cases for existing business problems that are under-served or – most often – extremely costly to implement and are slowed by traditional business encumbrances like overhead. Our project is a new coin. The script is just an installation script that we found that is good for those that wish to setup masternodes. We just changed the words to Vertical. Nothing to hide; it's just a good installation script that was already available and we changed the wording so not to confuse people.
