Hi guys,

I think that we need a good CPU mining coin. I know that most of you have your fancy GPUs ready to work waiting for the next ALT, but think in a global world (don't look that much at your balls) and think what would happen if all this tiny CPUs hanging around were mining the same thing. Is anybody interested in developing that? If the response is yes I think we can build something, if been working for some years in firmware, if we can factorize something we will have the ultimate coin. Wanna join?

Do you run a botnet perhaps?

There have been tons of 'cpu only' (a largely false claim) coins, they all get hit by insane amount of botnets and idle server farms almost instantly. The only way to squeeze out GPUs effectively is by requiring more than 6GB of cache, which also excludes a decent amount of home systems.

It must be Bernonkoin (BEK). This is very easy to mine coin also.

You can get good number of coins, even with lower grade PC/CPU.

Bernankoin is the only choice. The more miners, the higher the rewards! Sound economic principals!

I don't think you're getting it. Proof of work is very solid, but other algorithms can be implemented to avoid botnets invasion. Reward for transactions only or other kind of prizes can be delivered. The objective is to not restrict the availability to GPU farms

we need a good hybrid coin, PoW and PoS which requires both cpu and gpu to keep away botnets
in this way you don't cut out anybody and any sub-average gamers should be able to join the game.
has this been tried already in the past?

XPM & Dimecoin are the most potential, innovative and profitable CPU-coins on the market at the moment.

Neither is actually a true cpu-only coin.

What algorithm could possibly be implemented that prevents botnets from mining? I think you might be unknowingly heading towards some of the ideas behind pure PoS coins here.

It hasn't because I don't think anyone has thought of a realistic (or even possible) way of doing that. If someone does, I expect it would gain a decent amount of interest.
