Can someone please explain to me why some users become legendary rank ?

As we know, becoming Legendary doesn't just happen overnight. It takes many months or years of research and experience to share the good threads for others. 

Months and years of research? Are you people doing a Post-graduation thesis on "How to Become Legendary in a Day on bitcointalk" with some big animated bitcoin signs on your already +9D myopic eyes? You guys are crazy about joining signature campaings and thats why you all are bitching about not getting merited. Plain and simple.

Just stay cool and learn, we should focus to our performance because merit is bonus

To become a legendary earn 1000 merit first. Make a lots of constructive and usefhl posts don't expect for merit and you'll get it in your own way.

I do not get your point why you wanted to become a full member that quick  signature campaigns?
Well yes it is quite exciting have a real income here but showing that you are desperate makes you sound that you are begging.

Start today, read, if you have any questions, try to use the search button, if you can't find the answer, try google and research for it and if everything fails to answer your question then try to find the perfect board and post a thread.

Try to improve yourself first and maybe you'll get your chance to rank up very soon if you are determined to.

a long time ago, merit system is easier than now. i saw everyone have 40 posts will get free 100 merit. Same on you, i've joined this forum about some months, and we didn't get any free merit. So we need to try to post or replies something useful for everyone in this forum then wait for luck .

Merit system is just 4 months old. It is still very young.
Before the merit system, users have already earned their ranks and when the system was implemented, specific amounts of merits are given to specific ranks.
Example
Members will have a starting point of 10
Full members = 100
Sr. MemberS = 250
Hero = 500
And ETC ETC..

You already knew what's the purpose of the current system right? Then how can you even post such thing as this? You already knew what to do but still you've been pushing your luck in a way that you also knew that you can't even gather anything.

Being a full member is very important,

It's not, we just aim to be on the higher ranks just because of signature campaigns. But how about putting that aside, do you think rank will be that important?

NO. You can even get more attention, even if you're just a newbie. Referring to this man . He was already a FULL MEMBER now, but he was just a Member the last time when the System first begun, he contributed so much as he could and look where he is now, his can now easily wait for his post count and move into the next rank so easy like that.

It really doesn't matter how you post as long as everyone can see it as contributive then you might be able to gain some Merit/s.

You're finding a solution to gain Merits but in the SUBJECT you've been asking somebody to explain why are some users become legendary?.

Apparently, before the system was introduce the ranking are just important just because of the difference between the rates of the campaigns manage by some managers, and it's almost also alike even now but the only thing different now is that some campaigns as of now requires the users to have even 1 Merit to their accounts before they can apply to the said campaign.

The members with legendary ranks are old accounts they have reached the required activity for each rank and it took them 1.5 years to reach legendary rank until the merit system impletemented on january. Higher ranks will receive merits base on their ranks, that is why you're asking how they become legendary. I saw jr. member that has 10 merits so, why not we do it ourselves by setting our mindset in positive things and don't think merit as a barrier. Think of merit as a task for us to contribute in this forum.
