Hi, I was following Detritus's guide on how to build an open frame rig.  His guide; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=29729.0

For the metal tubing he says you need 2x 8ft lengths. Because i live in the uk we use metres. 2x8ft = 4.88 metres.

if i add up all the measurements he provided:
Four(4)   18" length (width) main runners.
Four(4)   9" length (depth)
Two(2)   8" length (height) card mount risers.
Two(2)   4 3/4" length (height) lower card support standoffs.
Two(2)   2 1/2" length (height) upper card support standoffs.

Altogether it equals to 139 inches. 139 inches = 3.6 metres. So Do i need to buy 4.88 metres (5 metres tubing) or 3.6 metres tubing (4 metres tubing rounded up).

I specified to the people to cut the 5m tubing to the lengths above. Is that the right lengths?

Anyone?

I came up with 12ft rounded up to allow for blade cut widths

12ft = 3.6576m  - so the online ft to mm converter told me Smiley
