I'd like to get my hands on some other cryptocurrencies. Is that ok? If yes, where should I post? In the marketplace under Currency exchange or Goods or offtopic?

Thanks.

There are people on #bitcoin-otc marketplace who will accept paypal from trusted sources.

Perhaps a first purchase using something like a MoneyPak will help you to build trust, and then PayPal could be used later.

Bitcoin is a prohibited purchase in PayPal's user agreement  so it is probably best to avoid them entirely.

#bitcoin-otc is a complete waste of time to me. Everytime I say anything I'm ignored or people just chat. It's a horrible venue for a marketplace.

Oh... I have more reputation than probably 90% of the members here so finding people to accept PayPal isn't a problem. The i0coin forum is completely dead.

It's very difficult to prove the PayPal was used for BTC unless it's mentioned in the transaction itself.

Ya, the channel keeps getting pulled more towards OTC "off topic chat" than OTC "over the counter" trading.  The #bitcoin-pit is a no-chit chat channel where maybe your experience would be better.

If you have trust and are looking to purchase, perhaps announcing that trust status along with your offer will get you a little more trading partners.

using PayPal for bitcoin transactions is becoming more and more like russian roulette.  It seems to work for a while and then boom, you're dead.
