Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

ATTENTION: Important details about payments and shipping addresses:

In order to prevent fraud through identity theft and hijacked accounts, we will utilize the following procedure for payments and specifying of shipping address.

1) After the auction ends, we will update the OP listing the winners, along with the total amount of BTC for all lots won by the winner.

2) We will then need each winner to send us a PM/DM, with your name, desired shipping address, email address, and mobile phone number. (You can also specify that you want to pick it up in person at our BTCC office in Shanghai, China, by giving us your real name, passport number, date of birth, and mobile number. We will use that information to match up your credentials when you come for pickup. Deadline for pickup is June 30, 2018.)

3) Only after we have received your individual PM/DM with personal details, we will then update the OP to give a unique Bitcoin BTC Payment Address for each winner. You will have until Friday, June 1, to make your payment.

4) After your payment is received, you will NOT be able to change the shipping address or the pickup method anymore. This is really to protect you, such that even if your Forum account is comprised later, we will NOT obey any instructions to re-route shipping destination.

5) Finally: we will NEVER send you payment requests via PM/DM. Please see all official postings in the OP. All payment requests and BTC addresses will always be posted in the OP.

Thank you.

...
I would hate to see all items to go a single (or just a few) winners.

thanks,
Bobby

Usually auctioneers do not hate to see their items being bid higher by one of their best customers, if you don't like it then don't sell them this way, would you rather that I stopped bidding on your sales?

Hi Otoh,

We certainly welcome you to make bids on this (and all future) auctions.

Having said that, I still hope that other people get a chance to win some of the goodies here.

In terms of you consistently outbidding ALL of the people on ALL of the items, there is an expressed viewpoint that it’s actually counterproductive to the auction, as it disincentives people to make any further bids, as it might be futile if you continue to outbid them every time. In turn, that might lead to fewer winners and lower final prices. (If there were 2 or more strong bidders, then this might not happen.)

Again, the above is just one other person’s perspective, and I have not given it enough thought to come to a definitive conclusion yet. Maybe there is no right answer. Maybe other experienced people can chime in as well.

Regardless, this is a public auction on an open forum, so I can’t and won’t stop you from making further bids. Please don’t take offense at my comments.

I just want to encourage others not to give up! Smiley

thanks,
Bobby

Bobby its an open auction, you want the most money out of it and otoh wants them at the cheapest price.  This is standard proceedure he isnt going to try to maximize your selling price Huh

I would agree. If you (Bobby) wanted different terms or outcomes you needed to make these clear at the start.
As a supplier I would be rather pleased there is someone out there prepared to bid heavily to acquire your goods.
It provides confidence in the product, creates a value for collectors to work from.
Open auctions are what they are. Good luck to those that can afford it Smiley

Yes I fully agree that this is an open auction. The rules will stay the same and have not changed.

Everyone should feel free to keep on bidding! Smiley

Only 10+ more minutes! Good luck.

thanks,
Bobby
