Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I also never send ETH to those airdrops who requires payment, but I think they are doing it to know that you own your ETH address you are sending to them, it's like a proof because nowadays even airdrop hunters uses multiple account to rape an airdrop

That type of airdrop is self claim airdrop, you need some eth to your wallet to avail it.
For example the safe low gas is 12 gwei and your using 21k gas limit you will only pay about $0.18 for gas. That's it!

That's their way to interact to their contract address with your wallet, This type of airdrop has a flaw it can be easily abused.
Unlike the form type airdrops with many accounts verification it is much better. But this type of airdrop benefits the creator
they don't have to spend eth for gas. Often this type of airdrops result is failure. But they are some projects like ENU they having some great value.

This is just a promotion method. The author has omitted the fuel cost and is entirely borne by the customer himself. Then many people will pay attention to the project.

Participated in several such projects, but the result is that everyone has a lot of money, no one is willing to spend money to buy, the final project failed.

This method is also an airdrop, but it needs to spend its own fuel. So it is suitable to participate when the fuel cost is very low.

Yes you can. By sending zero eth, actually you are sending them some GAS and with that gas they'll send you the tokens. So you get the airdrop tokens and they didn't have to spend their gas for that.

But if the airdrop is legit and maybe a good one then what is harm in sending the 0.20$ worth of gas if there is slight chance that you might be able to make much more rhan that?

Transfers on the ETH main website require GAS. This "airdrop" is not the GAS that consumes airdrops, but the GAS that consumes "airdropped".
It's easy to create a token on ETH. These tokens are usually worthless!

Yes it does work you can send 0 eth. Most of the time you get a instant airdrop. So you will receive the tokens right away.

You get the tokens instantly but there is no guarantee that those tokens wilk be worth something or not. Creator of those tokens has not spent anything for it, you paid for the gas expenses.

So basically there is a chance that those tokens will not be traded on exchange ever, but if they do, then you are lucky.
