Why on earth does this warrant a blockchain? I'm not being rhetorical, I really would like to understand.

There are tons of platforms that exist already and the biggest problem for freelancers is finding decent clients who pay well. Conversely, there is also a problem finding decent freelancers who do good work and deliver on-time.

How does introducing blockchain help either of these problems?
