First it was the server crashing and burning, with a terse response from technical support "not our problem". Well, it *was* their problem.

Then it took hours to get it back up. Great. It cost me 15 Bitcoins to cover you guys and your gripes. I accidentally manually sent overages to some, forgot about others (and was reminded) and have done my best to keep up my end of the deal.

Where i'm at: I'm broke, about to be homeless and I'm sort of fed up. This has been a great experiment, and it's been great to know all of you, but it's time to hand over the keys to someone else.

The icing on the cake is when I got this message a few minutes ago..

I don't want to run Bitcoinduit anymore. The anxiety I experienced today of being pulled away from other important projects made me realize that it's time to do something else.

Anything else.

However, if nobody is competent, or liquid enough to run it, i'll stop accepting new rounds and just let it die a silent death.

We've learned quite a bit about Bitcoin, and have a great understanding of its weaknesses now, and its relative strengths. I am going to continue to produce ever more solid software and projects based around bitcoin.

So, who wants to take it over?

Regards,
Jonathan

[edit]

Game balance is currently at 96 Bitcoins in live pots and Jackpots. I am not selling the site based on this, but I am selling it based on the highest bid. However, in order to qualify to purchase Bitcoinduit, you will need to prove that you have roughly twice this amount available (150-180 bitcoins) so that I can be *SURE* that you aren't going to take the money and run. I want to ensure that the players and hosts are protected.

So, get in touch if you want, and show proof of float funds. Then I'll show you mine. Then we'll negotiate.

-Jon

Just make sure you hand it over to someone professional and reliable, Jon. I'd love to volunteer but the technical proficiency required is beyond me.

Still around.

Hey, thank you so so much for creating this project. It truly is a great experiment and I've had a blast using it.

I would hate to see it given to the wrong person, so I just ask that you(and I feel bad even requesting this much after all you've done) make sure that the new owner will continue Bitcoinduit's development and has a similar mindset to you.

You created something fantastic and I'm sure everyone would love to see the dream live on.

Hold up, theymos told you to stop making more topics about Bitcoinduit.com, and... you make another one about how you're not supposed to do that anymore?

Why don't you try not being a typical lazy voice in the crowd messaging OP explaining why you deserve it?

You've got some serious balls calling me out Matthew... After all the shit people were slinging about you that I managed to avoid taking part in, you call me out? Really?

Here. I'm not going to do it via PM.

Tell everyone why you're qualified, and that you're going to make sure that it stays transparent, and that at least a portion of site proceeds will go to worthy charities.

Please also state yours or your developers qualifications.

Regards,
Jonathan

Probally best to run somthing like that on a private or local server. that way your in complete control over it.

noticed a few bugs in your script aswell.

Sorry to hear of the problems you have had and are going though. I am pretty much jobless at the moment so i couldnt pay anything for it. but i could offer to run it for you and fix your code.

Sad to hear that your site gave you that much problems lately...

I would like to help you run the site...I also have some new ideas what could be implemented in the gameplay and the site itself!

The problem: I don't have that many BTCs on my hand :/

I hope the site will keep on going and won't be abused to just make fast money!

First, bitconduit is a great site, even though I probably haven't won a lot of coins. It's a bad news you no longer want to run it, but given all the problems happening to you, it's understandable

It would be great if bitconduit become community owned, with some shareholders for example, in order to gather the coins required. Maybe bitconduit would become the first company in the bitcoin stock exchange  Grin

I'm just giving the idea, I have no idea of the technical things to do this. But it could be interesting

I *LOVE* It!

I'll get started on it right now.
