Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

It looks like older versions get moved to an Obsolete folder, so the link Gavin posted no longer works. The correct link is: http://sourceforge.net/projects/bitcoin/files/Obsolete/bitcoin-0.7.2/.

Since 0.8.6 is the latest version, it gets linked to from the top of every page.
