How much wattage would I need to power a 5850 & 5870?

Would 750W be good?

a 550 would be sufficent if it was single rail those cards both are rated for less than 200 w (180 and 150 repectivly) if you're interested in spending bitcoins try bitpornium

Bitporium doesn't have that much selection.

I already found a 600W PSU for only $49

600 should be good for what you need. I assumed you wanted to spend bitcoins

This one is $30 after MIR. Plus it's 620 CONTINOUS, and it's 80 plus certified. Great value for a miner.

I have a two month old
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817152045
I was running it for a little while and then upgraded to a GOLD certified PSU

How much are you willing to pay for this item?

I'm unfamiliar with apevia and would chose the ultra in this case however you can purchase newegg codes at bitegg.net and would rather make a purchase there and would look towards this antec
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371044
however if your pc has room for more cards it may be wise to get a larger psu for future expansion

Just so you know, the PSU is the LAST thing you can cheap out on, If you get the "$5 cheaper" PSU, Expect all your shit to blow

Have you consider the Rosewill Green Series RG630-S12 630W? If you have two molex to PCI-Express Connector adapters, this unit would be better.

Review

http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Rosewill-Green-Series-630-W-RG630-S12-Power-Supply-Review/881/1

It is also in the recommendation of PSU's from overclock.net
Under 600-699w
