Happy New Year! Wanted to show the community this timeline of the complete history of Bitcoin. The site is built using a jquery timeline to plot the important dates (and memorable moments) that have occurred since the very beginning. Where possible, actual sources or websites have been linked to. Have to admit that it is pretty incredible to learn about the history and everything that has happened since. needed : zoom function ... on last 3 month of 2013 Take a look on the bottom left --- still have to add in the wild ride we seen through the last part of the year, though. I'm working on reiterating the design to make it a bit more user-friendly and a section to allow easier scrolling through the entire history. |

Happy New Year to you too! Sorry I'm only getting to this in February. I have to say I learned WAY more than I thought I knew putting it together. Now, I'm updating it to be responsive and adding a feature that will allow anyone to embed the timeline in their own website. Jan 9,2009 - it states that "it includes a Bitcoin generation system that would create a total of 21 million Bitcoins through the year 2040."
shouldn't that be 2140?
