I received a PM earlier today that asked a very valid question, so I will post it and my reply here.....
Question: Hello, I am interested in your GB. I have one question though. What happens if you are deployed or something happens to you when you are on the job? Do you have someone you trust that will know what to do? Please do not take my question as disrespectful or ungrateful. I appreciate what you it is just risky depending on what your responsibilities are. Thanks
Answer: You have a very valid question. I did not take any offense to the question at all. Currently my Job in the Marine Corps involves duty as a helicopter crewman. I do fly, but the unit that I am attached to is not scheduled to deploy.
While there is no possibility that I would be deployed there are trips that arise from time to time that typically last 4-5 days and are within the US. During those trips I have internet and computer access. In addition my wife is technical enough to perform most tasks without my input. In the case of something catastrophic, I have a friend that is so close that I consider “family” that is a web/database programmer. He is employed by the company that I have chosen for our hosting. Also, He has worked with Bitcoin on a hobby level and could fill in for me almost seamlessly. Plus he would have access to the hardware in the event the shareholders wanted to sell.
I hope this answered your question.

TxInfo https://blockchain.info/tx/e278948ad29a87a467433e6fb218b45bb9261c334135adffd4920f90399f5c21Preferred Pool: slush's pool, (or anything else but GHASH.io) (What tipped me over is your comment on that your wife is technically sound enough to help out. Really appreciate the honesty you have displayed on the forum, and I wish you all the GB success!! -dean)

Just got an email from TheWoodser, saying that we are mining.
That is great news! But it looks like it is mining at 1.5 to 1.7 TH/s, which is less great. Cointerra compensated batch-1 customers when their miners didn't reach the 2 TH/s they were supposed to. They are still selling their miners as "2 TH/s miners".
Did the compensation for the lack in performance stop with the first batch?

The only compensation that CoinTerra offered was a 15% coupon on future orders..... http://cointerra.com/update-production-news-janfeb-batch-customer-offer/This was offered to us as well. The "new" GoldStrike board that will ship with the June batches does run at 2TB.
