 Smiley Hello all,

I have a question : if the power of all miners (people) decrease (instead of increase for now) ... what the bitcoin network do for this ?
Can it decrease the difficult ?
Or difficult is calculate with the number of BTC generate by miner (but increase with the amount and not decrease).

Thanks  Wink

Can it decrease the difficult ?

yes... if enough ppl stop mining and the blocks tend take longer than ~10min to generate the network will readjust (reduce) the difficulty

Yes, difficulty can decrease, it will always adjust depending on the network hashrate

To see the estimate of next difficulty and the current hashrate check my link below

A calculation is done after every 2016 blocks. If the last 2016 took less than 14 days to produce, then the difficulty is increased. If last 2016 blocks took more than 14 days, then the difficulty is decreased.

new difficulty = old difficulty * 14 days / time

Last decrease took place more then a year ago. With the number of asics out in a market i don't think we face the difficulty decrease situation nearest time.
