linux cluster for bitmining

so i am thinking about building a linux cluster for bitmining

a linux cluster is pretty much a bunch of daisy chained computers that all work on a single task.

is there any way for  me to be able to predict how much money i will make from bit coining using this thing?

obviously i would need to give you guys specs so lets say that this cluster has 10ghz of cpu power and 5GB of video memory.

how much would this make a month if it runs 24/7

i understand that there are a lot of variables, i would just appreciate a rough estimate

CPU mining (except on large scale) is about useless with the networks hashrate today. Mining today comes more from the accelerated parallel processing power of modern video cards. This is less to do with VRAM available and more to do with the number of processing cores / parallel processing units.

If you can provide a make & model on on the video cards in this cluster, others may be able to give you a very rough estimate.

well if i have 10 cores at 1ghz each and 10 gpus at 512mb each then how much would that be?

As I mentioned earlier, the CPU mining potential you have isn't worth your time. As for the graphics mining potential, parallel processing streams are more important than memory. As a minimum, can you tell us if the cards are ATI or nVidia? and if so what model / series are they?
