Several bots could make thousands of such requests per second, thus making the archain "memory" full of useless garbage.
Is there any mechanism in place to prevent it?

Hello. Thank you for your answer. Yes, sure. In order to prevent it a user needs to  make a deposit if he wants to  upload a file. So this attack is unlikely to happen.

Memority is the only company that allows users to store data without worrying that someone else might delete, modify or view it. It does this by encrypting data with a private key, and creating 10 file copies with independent monitoring systems that make sure the data is neither modified or lost.
