This is great... A subforum for cryptocurrency announcements and then everything else would nearly be sufficient. ANN for coins, ANN for Services, ANN for apps and Technicals would be the way I would do it.

Syscoin has the best of Bitcoin and Ethereum in one place, it's merge mined with Bitcoin so it is plugged into Bitcoin's ecosystem and takes full advantage of it's POW while rewarding Bitcoin miners with Syscoin

Can we repost listings in both this marketplace and the other? I want BTC but I also accept alt coins.

Now you got me confused a bit I was just going to post an announcement about a mining application I wrote. Where do you want me to put this? (no kidding) You would be fine in Mining. I'm just trying to determine if Pools are a service, in which case belonging in the Announcements section, or more related to Mining. I supposed the latter, and will move pools to the Mining section. Can we repost listings in both this marketplace and the other? I want BTC but I also accept alt coins.
Yes, you can also accept Bitcoins. If you have a sales thread, no point in not listing one of your payment options.

Great news for the new year !
And for the OP question, I'd put the pool announcements in the Announcement subforum which could use two tag : [COIN] [TRI] for coin announcements (where TRI stands for the coin trigram) and [POOL] [TRI] for pool announcements (where TRI stands for the coin the poll will mine, and could be replaced by [MULTI] if the pool offers multiple currencies).
What do you think about this naming conventions ?

Great step towards cleanup. I predict this will discourage new coin launches!

Yes, you can also accept Bitcoins. If you have a sales thread, no point in not listing one of your payment options. Sweet, thanks. Hopefully they'll get more attention in the alts section as they pretty much got none over on the original one.

looking at how the subfora are shaping up, mining is the least busy. i'd suggest pools go into mining to balance out the traffic.
also, thank you for the subforums.

I think pool announcements should go in the Mining subforum, just to keep things organized, as in if I want to see what new altcoins are announced, I wouldn't have to visually filter the threads marked [ANN] into altcoins and pools. Or maybe the Announcements subforum should have a guideline to say: Altcoin announcement threads should be tagged [ALT] while pool announcements should be tagged [POOL], if pool announcements were to be posted in the Announcements subforum.
