if you sold bitcoins via bitmarket.eu to user that has moneybookers address grenouillette40@gmail.com i am informing you that he is a scammer he sends money and after 6-7 days he cancelles the transaction he uses different names like "Lerondel Carole" and "Cliff Rouvier" so stay away from this guy |

I have just sold to him some BTCs via foreign wire transfer. If he pays, he cannot then cancel the transaction, right?

I've seen him on bitmarket.eu. His prices are much too good to be true. Cancel transaction.

the problem is that when someone buys on bitmarket.eu the bitcoins are "frozen". if you try to cancel the transaction the buyer also has to agree and grenouillette40@gmail.com doesn't agree to the cancellation. so unless bitmarket admin doesn't manually cancel the transactions the bitcoins are "frozen" and can't be used. |

hey,
i also just sold some bitcoins to the same person on bitmarket.eu.
lets keep us all posted whats happening. i am also going to wait some days, if no EUR arrives i will cancel the transaction also.

This person is indeed a scammer. I am just in the process of cancelling all transactions - looks like the guy was dumb enough to use his real ebay account and IP address to get verified. He's not getting away with it easily.

Awesome! First scammed via paypal, now moneybookers :S My moneybookers account was closed (cannot get a clear explanation from them, they are being cryptic) and all transactions reversed.

i use tradehill (atm just because they dont want to verifiy my account), just interested in the differences...

Issues like this are what i'm trying to address in my 'why bitcoin' thread. It's why I'm very hesitant about BTC as viable for the average consumer. |

If you had stopped at "... in it to scam the newcomers" then I wouldn't be chuckling to myself right now. Either way it isn't at all ridiculous; it's entirely predictable – it's the invisible hand of the free-market at work. |

There will be always scammers - one will do it in big - like mybitcoin and mtgox others will do it in small like this one here. At the end - we end customers will be f...d up - that's the sad truth  |

I emailed Moneybookers pre-emptively after reading similar cases. They replied with an explicit warning to not use Moneybookers account for Bitcoin purchase (or sale), due to the likelyhood of said account being suspended. Sorry for off topic OP, just wanted to chime in to mention this. |
