this is like comparing horsepower with fuel tank volume.

You've got to ask about the proccessing power of your gpu.

Use the forum search and be a little smarter then....

On the more helpful side of life, VRAM will tell you nothing about your hash rate. The memory capacity or clock speed of your video memory has a minimal to negligible effect on your overall processing power. The 2 things that matter most is number of processing cores on the GPU itself, and the clock speed of those cores. As previous posters mentioned, a quick search on mining hardware benchmarks will provide you with useful information on what to expect for performance based on the model of graphics card you are using.

BTW, Video RAM and graphics memory are the same. A GPU contains 2 critical components. The memory, and the GPU itself. The GPU is like a co-processor (in relation to your main processor, be it Intel or AMD), and the video memory is there as a texture/memory buffer for direct and high speed access to data for the GPU. Since randomly generating hashes for SHA256 is a dumb algorithm and requires little memory to operate, the performance of the GPU itself is your critical component.
