Features and characteristics:Automatic profitability tracking of most alternative cryptocurrencies Check your maximum profit in USD based on your mining rig specs Make a selection of the coins you want to mine Auto-switching to the most profitable coins of your choice Auto-failover to the next best pool/coin when the primary pool becomes unresponsive Preconfigured p2pool URLs let you start mining instantly requiring only a wallet address Configuration is done via the GUI Auto-saving of settings on exit/refresh to plain XML No registration required No installation required ACcMiner is written in VB.NET and uses .NET Framework 4.5. Seems great but isn't it the same as mining in a multipool ?

The basic idea is similar but you have more control. - You decide which coins to mine. I, for example, only use 3-4 different ones.
- You can use pools of your choice.
- You decide when to keep or trade.
- You can choose the switching interval.
- You can turn of auto-switching when you would want to.
- ...

Seems like it is a preference. This one you get to pick the coins yourself. There are a couple different things you can do with this. Also, I'm assuming this would be better for your pocket. Those multipools never paid very well for me.

I wasn't planning to. Hesitant because of a possible scam? You can run cgminer in its original window (check "Seperate window") so you can see the pool and account being used.

Hmm, quite interested in this. Might try it out later. Are you releasing source? I'm really interested but hesitant.

Probably more concerned about a hidden trojan/keylogger/way to seal wallets/coins. Not saying there is one in there, just that it makes sense to be cautious.

I would release the source. Logically, if someone wanted to duplicate this, how long would it really take? Its web scraping, reading the values and picking the one that has the highest number after it divides, based on a timer. Then launching or closing cgminer. The value of the program is in the idea, not the programming, could be copied in the matter of days.
I am not devaluing your program whatsoever. I think it looks awesome.
You could ask for donations as well. I'm sure those trading links are affiliate links. I'd use them. From a business perspective, you will get more users, potentially more people using your affiliate links, potentially more donations, by allowing it to be open source.
Just my 2 cents, which is worth .00000002 XPM on cryptsy.

Open source it and ask for donations. I'm willing to bet you'll have a lot more people use it and it'll spur much more development.
I'm hesitant to use someone else's code without going over it first.

Been using this a bit, it's only a pain when new coins arise.
I will release an update today including EAC and 42. The thing with the latest coins is that I need to be able to fetch the coin data in order to add them. If for example the coins are not exchanged yet, then there's no way to know the possible profitability. If a coin is not listed, most likely it is less profitable than the best listed ones anyways. Thank you for your feedback. If there are specific wishes, pls let me know.

Thank you very much for this. I enjoy it. To anyone who says a wallet stealer is in this or that it is malicious, use .net reflector to look at the source and you will see that there is nothing in there but legitimate code.

You are welcome. I'm glad I could help out. With .net programs it is very easy. Generally they can't be decompiled in a way that allows you to recompile them without a lot of work. But as a precaution you may want to look at offuscation. It helps a bit and slows someone who knows what they are doing down. For a program like this though, with the risk of someone putting in a wallet stealer, I would leave it how it is jsut to ease the minds of people.

Hi,
Any idea please - what is the best auto-refresh time?

I always use the 5 minutes refresh time, and I try to make a selection of a limited amount of coins, two, three, or four maximum. I don't see any real advantage in larger intervals as difficulty (and profit) can quickly change dramatically, as like 75%. But to be honest, I'm not really sure what's best either, so I'm curious about other opinions. I think that the payout system of the pools probably also comes into the equation, but I don't understand that impact exactly.

I just experienced a bug, and most probably others will be affected too. The result is that your pool configurations may be gone. I'm deeply sorry about this.
Here's what happened: - The web source that provides the coin data was returning empty tables during maintenance. - As a result the coin list in ACcMiner was empty after a refresh. - BUT... the config was auto-saved... and because no coins were present... the coin and pool config was overwritten with nothing. - When the web source provided data again, the coin list was recreated but the configuration was lost.
I will write a fix asap to prevent this behaviour in the future. EDIT: Bug is now fixed with release 0.98.1.2 !

It would be cool if there was a log of coins that were mined recently.
For example, if I were to go to sleep it would be nice to see what it had been mining over night.

I haven't used this program yet but I really wanted to thank you for innovating technology like this for the use for everyone. I own a couple Google News sites that I like to cover industry changes on. My stories go directly into Google News, I would be interested in interviewing you sometime about this program and your outlook on the industry. You can find me on Twitter @webaddict. Kudos buddy.

I'm currently using Coinwarz and the BTC-E bitcoin price as a reference. The plan for the near future is to fetch data from different exchanges myself, especially the ones that list brand new coins, in order to get them supported more quickly.

What ACcMiner version are you using, pls? There was a bug in the past that caused loss of config but it was fixed immediately (within 1h after it was detected). Are you sure it was in donation mode for 5 hours, as this should be impossible afaik. The donation timer is always 180 seconds.
EDIT: I've checked the pool that was used by the donation mode (dgb.hash.so) and indeed, I saw more income for a couple of hours. We are talking about roughly 2500 DGB according to my estimation, which I will send back to you in DGB or BTC if you would like, after trading at market price. What's your hash rate, pls? (to double check if the amount is sufficient) Give me your DGB address or BTC address and I will send the coins over.
I'm really sorry about this. If you were using the latest version, then I would love to hear more details if any so I can figure out what happened exactly. PM me.

I appreciate the quick response. Im on version ACcMiner_0.99.1.1. It was DBG that it was mining. I have it set to only show active pools. When i woke up in the morning it was only showing the DGB coin as active. Also it seems like it saved that config to the settings file. My hash rate is 2900K. 1CQHGECJN2T564zGQdjmhLYpKyvsAqc2NU BTC Thanks for making this right. Oh and i use external cgminer, if that helps. Running Win7 64bit

The DGBs were worth 0.0017 BTC. But I checked the most profitable coin at the moment with your hash rate at coinwars and that would give 0.003 BTC for 5 hours. So I sent 0.005 BTC to be sure.
Tnx for the feedback. I get it... your config got replaced by the donation config. This is the first time I hear about this behaviour. I thought about it and there's only one way this can happen. The config is always saved from what you see in the UI. So that means that the donation config was put in the UI at some point, altough the donation config normally does never end up in the UI. My guess is that the web service for the coin data was unavailable when the donation ended, the donation coin list in memory was therefore not replaced but the UI (coin table) got updated with the data in memory (being still the donation data). I will need to intercept this situation and in that case load the data back from the xml file.
Tnx. Sorry for the inconvenience. I will release an update asap.
EDIT: I sent another 0.005 BTC, I was counting with 1 dollar for 0.001 BTC... that time is already some while behind us :-)
