The ACcMiner project has been stopped

ACcMiner in a nutshell
ACcMiner is an as plain as possible Windows mining application for alternative cryptocurrencies,
acting as a shell on top of cgminer 3.7.2.

Features and characteristics:
Automatic profitability tracking of most alternative cryptocurrencies
Check your maximum profit in USD based on your mining rig specs
Make a selection of the coins you want to mine
Auto-switching to the most profitable coins of your choice
Auto-failover to the next best pool/coin when the primary pool becomes unresponsive
Preconfigured p2pool URLs let you start mining instantly requiring only a wallet address
Configuration is done via the GUI
Auto-saving of settings on exit/refresh to plain XML
No registration required
No installation required

ACcMiner is written in VB.NET and uses .NET Framework 4.5.

ACcMiner started off as a personal hobby project and for me it does everything
I wanted. However, I'm very interested in feedback and possible improvements.
So bring it on ...

Seems great but isn't it the same as mining in a multipool ?

The basic idea is similar but you have more control.

  • You decide which coins to mine. I, for example, only use 3-4 different ones.
  • You can use pools of your choice.
  • You decide when to keep or trade.
  • You can choose the switching interval.
  • You can turn of auto-switching when you would want to.
  • ...

Seems like it is a preference. This one you get to pick the coins yourself. There are a couple different things you can do with this. Also, I'm assuming this would be better for your pocket. Those multipools never paid very well for me.

I wasn't planning to.
Hesitant because of a possible scam? You can run cgminer in its original window (check "Seperate window") so you can see the pool and account being used.

Hmm, quite interested in this. Might try it out later.

Probably more concerned about a hidden trojan/keylogger/way to seal wallets/coins. Not saying there is one in there, just that it makes sense to be cautious.

I didn't know that website... thank you for it.
Well, you scanned the zip, which includes my single exe and a folder containing cgminer.
My exe is 100% clean with 0/48. Apparently cgminer is causing the 27/48.

I would release the source. Logically, if someone wanted to duplicate this, how long would it really take? Its web scraping, reading the values and picking the one that has the highest number after it divides, based on a timer. Then launching or closing cgminer. The value of the program is in the idea, not the programming, could be copied in the matter of days.

I am not devaluing your program whatsoever. I think it looks awesome.

You could ask for donations as well. I'm sure those trading links are affiliate links. I'd use them. From a business perspective, you will get more users, potentially more people using your affiliate links, potentially more donations, by allowing it to be open source.

Just my 2 cents, which is worth .00000002 XPM on cryptsy.

Did you read a couple of posts higher? I guess I need to leave cgminer out of the zip file.
Thank you for removing this false accusation.

Open source it and ask for donations.  I'm willing to bet you'll have a lot more people use it and it'll spur much more development.

I'm hesitant to use someone else's code without going over it first.

Cgminer has been removed from the ACcMiner 0.96.01 zip file now, no more false alarm bells.

You'll just need to add the cgminer folder contents yourself.

Just because its not reporting viruses, doesn't mean its not going to do something malicious.
