I been searching around, looking, and a lot of reading about coins. I want to know others opinions on where is the best place to buy, exchange, and sell?

Another question is how do you purchase altcoins? Do you must have bitcoins to make a purchase for other coins?

I want to learn before going into this trade.

I use BTC-e to trade BTC, LTC, NMC and PPC.

Cryptsy to trade other alts: QRK, DOGE etc

I'm in the UK and the best option to sell BTC for GBP is Bitstamp, but this will obviously depend on your location.
