It is a new coin?

It was launched back about 5 months ago. Just putting it here for the new sub forum and to post the updates we are working on for the hard fork coming soon

Here's the update log so far

Spots Changes 1.0.4 - In Progress

Difficulty
- Difficulty adjustments will stay at the same spacing, but the percentage of change per block has been reduced
- Block time is still 70 seconds. These changes will only aim to keep blocks at 70 second intervals. These are NOT to speed it up or slow it down
- The goal is to be between #3-#10 on coinchoose to keep multipools off

Other
- Network settings tweaked
- Optimized IPv4/IPv6/loopback protocol handling
- Finding peers is much faster
- New Block Explorer
- New Icons (Logo possibly)
- SUPERBLOCKS REMOVED - There was only a 0.01% chance of a block being a 205x super block. There were not many found in the entire 5 months so we are eliminating these completely*
- Block Reward changed from 49 to 48 to compensate for the already found superblocks, but keep the coin life as planned and not impact mining profitability calculations*

*These two changes are still not set in stone

Spots is 63rd out of 66 on coinmarketcap, and the 7th least traded coin on Cryptsy over the last 24h.

People often ask which coins could be the next Quark and increase by several fold in little time.  Spots certainly has the potential to do that! It would be a 30fold increase to get it to Tickets level, and given that the Dev is the same (pretty sure anyway), and the plans for both coins are somewhat similar, there is definite potential.

All 3 are all now under the iGotSpots umbrella - Immediate development time is prioritized right now as: Spots -> Tickets -> Copper Bars

Spots hard fork still being worked on, Tickets services being developed, and Copper Bars is currently running properly, so we have put that one on the back burner until the immediate needs are met for SPT and TIX

We are currently doing maintenance on WorkForCrypto.com to get Spots added. The site will be up, but not functional, until we are done

Spots will be added and WorkForCrypto.com will be up and running again with Spots by Friday (1/10/2014)
