I can only think of NSACoin where all your hashing power will be used to decode communications from Google, Microsoft and so on.

The moderators of the forum need to setup some sort of "screening" forum for coin announcements. You need x amount of votes to actually be moved to the announcement section or something. Just to much shit will be posted to decipher the actual coins from the jokes.

Well this was bound to happen.

Now people will really need to take a real serious look as to which alt-coin has a chance of survival and which ones are just pure fluff.

Hint:  Look at the hash rate that secures the coin.

I understand basic diffculty to solve time

But wouldint it take a long time to do effective retargets if its statisticly possible that a laptop hits 6 blocks in a row hashing at 20k in bitcoins?

Warning: CloudCrypter.net is a SCAM!

I just tried both and learned the hard way. Your coins are gone, you get nothing, no response to any attempt to contact. Sigh.

Coingen is legit though! Which is pretty cool.

CloudCrypter is riddled in typos. I apparently revive my coin by email (bad, centralization)... "there send the files", "forget insert coin name" "To finsih the order"... It looks like it was made in 20 minutes to scam people. To get status I need to log in with my "exists account" which does not exist as I never had a chance to create one...

Edit: I'm doubtful they even have a MySQL/Postgres/flat text file/back of an envelope schema up...
