i kind of expected this day to come.

You should've called the service Pandora's Box, cause that's what it is  Grin

Anyway its a really good service and i'm sure you'll make a lot of money out of it, the one's who will lose out are devs who maintained exclusive development rights for altcoins.

Increased competition will also mean even fewer coins will survive.

all the best!

No Mac Wallet??

Also, can I have a splash screen upload PNG feature just like you did with the logo upload?

And is it possible to get 4-letter currency codes, as with DOGE and MOON?

Also... No Mac Wallet? I can't play without a Mac Wallet. :--(

I may start offering a free coin development service.  It might drive the point home to some very thick skulled people buying the hype in this sub-forum.

This reminds me of multicoin.
I'm afraid you'll need to also offer Scrypt as an option so that "anti-asic" cultists can use your service.
I guess you're afraid of them later asking for quark-like pow and the rest of newer-but-less-secure-than-bitcoin's-sha256 schemes, to exercise forever their god-given universal right to GPU-mining announced by Gamer the prophet, he said:
"GPU mining will follow botnets, then it will disappear on the second coming of the ASIC.
The story will repeat with each new stupid PoW invented to eternity,
for the greatest glory of Gamer the elf, the first gamer to mine experienceCoins while he was not playing (while he was asleep)".

Enough joking.
Great idea, this is going to be fun.

EDIT: I see you already have scrypt, more fun!

Please add:
  • Prime POW support
  • Unit system config (decimal, tonal, dozenal, octal)
  • Mac builds (this should be simple now that gitian can do it)
  • BitcoinTalk announcement post creator

Bonus if you can setup automatic pool hosting...

+1 on Prime POW support. GPUs can't have all the fun.

Doesn't primecoin have GPU mining yet?
It's about time, now that Scrypt is getting ASICs.

Sadly I dont really have much time to address these issues since I've got a few other projects going...that said, now that the branding stuff is done, adding new PoW algorithms and existing patches as options takes only a few seconds (the Scrypt option took about 5 minutes to add), so my current plan is to auction off the current code+domain+server to someone who has more time to add awesome new features.

How do these things handle bootstrap/initial node discovery? I've mined ~4,000 blocks of Magiccoin (the original test, I think?) but don't have any peers to share with :-P

I have a magic node which keeps track of peers for each coin and forwards them on in addr messages, but if no one else is running a node, youre sol.
