Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's
computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be
reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Use any wallet you want.
Do you mean you want a wallet for BTC or Asiccoin?

There are several wallets to choose from if you are looking for Bitcoin wallets. Most of the alt coins though have only official wallet available. You can check my wallet page for more information http://www.dailycoins.net/wallets.html

If you are looking something else than Bitcoin I recommend that you google their official home page and download their wallet app. There are no third party wallet apps for anything else than Bitcoin. You need to get matching wallet for every different coin.

It's pretty annoying to have to use a different wallet for every altcoin.
I thought of something, can't someone bypass the wallet entirely and store them directly on cryptsy or other Exchange sites?

Yes, you can receive and keep your coins on an exchange instead of having a wallet on your machine.

Yes, you can, but it's not a good idea. If that site goes down or gets hacked then you've lost everything.

Yes, you can, but it's not a good idea. If that site goes down or gets hacked then you've lost everything. Cryptsy should be perfectly safe. It's what I use. But then I'm a daytrader..

You can use the wallet you like but if you mean the easiest IMO it's be multibit (I am talking about PC wallets here).also using armory offline wallet following security instruction provided might be useful in securing the coins if you won't be using it regularly.
