Hi, today I just got my second batch of R9 280X gaming edition GPUs in today and I am only getting 565K/hash/s which is FAR to low for them

I have sucessfully configured another rig and they are going at 740-780K/hash/s but I don't know why these aren't

Any help will be appreciated and if any settings suggestions get me above 700K/hash I will give you 2500 Noodlycoins or a couple of doges Cheesy so please anything and everything will be tried

EDIT

Ok, cheers, when I do it on G2 I get either HW errors or the computer just crashes or the drivers, is that because of the -I 18 being too high??? but I now get 610K/hash with G1 but still no where near where I think it should be, so any more help Huh

P.S leave your noodly address or your doge and I will give you a tip for helping

P.S just changed thread con to a lower nuber and it got a bit better

I'm not at home right now so I can't tell you my driver versions.  But I can tell you single R9 280x I was squeezing out about 715 Kh/s.  When I added in the 2nd card I kept the settings the same, turned on crossfire (didn't make any difference) but had a heat issue.  Added fans and getting 1350 Kh/s.

g2 for 2 threads - i13 (anything more you will get errors)
Clock between 1000 and 1050 - experiment with what works best
Powertune +20

One thing I noticed is that there is a higher power draw from the motherboard of the 280x vs the 7950.  With one card I could put the clock to 1080 or even higher, but with more than 1 card and no powered risers, when I put my clock too high, both cards would drop down to 500 or less each.

You should be able to get at least 680K each and some people closer to 780K each from further tweaking the settings.

Yeah got it up to 600-625K/hash and that is on its own for now, just when I am trouble shooting to get the best results, atm it is 1041/1500 and is powertune the power thing in MSI? if so that is at 20%, or should I do it through CGminer? would that speed it up if I don't use MSI afterburner?

You seem to be homing in on it, now it's time to tweek!  Play around with the settings and see what works best for you.

Yeah, need to get on Cheesy time is money, so would teamviewer effect the hash power, and would running msi after burner effect the hashing power too?  If so then that could be it (I have both open, controlling it from 1 laptop and msi for OC, but now I have learnt you can do it through cgminer)

My MSI 280x Gaming Ed. are sensitive than my other r9 280x. Anything over 1020 core has a large impact on hash rate. The best I've been able to get is 720; -I13 -g2 1020/1500 with 8192 thread. I'm also using a custom bin file to give it an extra 10-15 hash rate. I'm not at home so I don't have the link to the bin.
