Aren't they pretty easy to recover? A scammer would have an easy time "selling" accounts for Bitcoins (irreversible) only to recover the account later and regain control.

I don't really understand how the Digital millennium Copyright Act could be applied here. I think it's just used generically by ©orps because they know people will respond fast. Runescape doesn't allow the transfer of in game items for real currency.  I guess they are recognizing Bitcoins as a "real" currency.  They should start accepting it for payment for their game.  They are a perfect venue for  bitcoins!

By "real" they mean anything outside Runescape. They want to limit trade to inside the game.

To be honest, instead of seeing people selling their accounts for BTC I'd rather see some game publishers accept BTC as payment for their games.
